The many pubs and restaurants near our new homes in Redmarshall

Redmarshall is the stunning location of our exclusive collection of just 11 new homes, The Langtons. This village has a calming, tranquil atmosphere and is truly the perfect place to call home. 

 

Alongside the beautiful, natural surroundings of Redmarshall, various local pubs, restaurants and bars are nearby to ensure the exciting social aspect of your life doesn’t fade away after moving to the countryside. 

 

Some of the fabulous local restaurants could definitely become your new personal favourites. All with a welcoming atmosphere, good local food and the flexibility to cater to your needs and preferences, you will love dining out in Redmarshall and the surrounding area. 

 

The Ship, Redmarshall

 

The Ship is the closest pub to our new homes at Redmarshall and it offers something for everybody. Whether you are wanting to spend quality family time or enjoy a romantic evening meal, a fun music night or a cold drink in the beer garden on a hot day, The Ship is the perfect destination to unwind. The kitchen staff pride themselves on delivering dishes that taste and look stunning, consist of the freshest ingredients and also the best flavour pairings.

 

Brand new menus are the latest addition at The Ship, with incredible meals for everyone to enjoy. Some of the delicious options they offer include traditional pub bistro main courses, a mouthwatering burger menu, a selection of steaks, a fun children's menu, many vegan, vegetarian and gluten free choices and of course, a classic Sunday Lunch menu.

The Smiths Arms, Carlton

 

Another local pub with a welcoming environment is The Smiths Arms in the heart of Carlton Village. Providing countless drink choices, delicious meals and also Sky and BT sports, The Smiths Arms ensures you are well looked after when watching a game. The village of Carlton is approximately a three minute drive or a 10 minute walk from Redmarshall, the perfect destination for a quick venture out.

 

A little further afield 

 

A few more restaurants in the local area that we couldn’t leave out are The County in Aycliffe Village, which is a 15 minute drive away from our homes at Redmarshall. Aycliffe Village is full of charisma and The County is perfectly placed, overlooking the village green and is easy to access. The food doesn’t just taste amazing but is also visually stunning. Sunday lunches are especially popular - but even just a drink and a few bar snacks is always enjoyable at The County. 

 

Additionally, the award-winning The Orangery is another fantastic restaurant in this area. As part of Rockliffe Hall’s golf and spa resort, you could definitely make a day trip out of visiting if you fancy a relaxing afternoon in the spa or a spot of golf. From Redmarshall to Rockliffe it takes roughly 20 minutes, but the stunning scenery and food will make up for the longer travel time. Offering classy dishes in peaceful surroundings, you will love dining at The Orangery.

 

Eating out in Darlington

 

Darlington is one of the closest towns which offers many bars and popular nightlife. A couple of the most highly recommended locations for a night out include Dr. Inks, Houndgate Townhouse, Mr Hutton's Barbers and Bar and Number One. Yarm is also a great destination for nightlife and only a short 15 minute drive from Redmarshall. Some of the popular spots are The Keys, the Lotus Lounge and many more local pubs. 

 

Perhaps you are more interested in sophisticated dining rather than nightclubs? Then you will be suited to many of the alternative beautiful places near Redmarshall; brilliant restaurants are scattered throughout this whole area for you to explore. 

 

In Darlington, a few of our favourite restaurants consist of Tomahawk Steakhouse and Pizza Express, the food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere on an evening is always charming. Some of the more casual locations which are perfect for lunch include Salt Street Food Kitchen and Bar, Hash Bar and Kitchen, the Stable Hearth and The Juniper Tree. All of these destinations have a relaxed environment with truly amazing food - ideal for weekend ventures out. 

 

Coffee is a daily ritual in many people's lives. If you happen to be one of the coffee lovers of the world, you should definitely check out Hatch Luncheonette in Darlington, a cosy cafe with delicious coffee and cakes; Origins Coffee Bar, and the Imperial Express Cafe, which also serves scrumptious breakfast and lunch.
