ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all on-site construction activities of a new-build residential development, assisting the Head of Construction with the production of the site programme. You will lead, motivate and coordinate all site personnel, subcontractors and trades to deliver highest standards of quality whilst ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
→ Manage all on-site construction activities of a new-build residential development to meet programme deadlines and budget targets.
→ Assist the Head of Construction with the production of the site programme.
→ Lead, motivate and coordinate all site personnel, subcontractors and trades to deliver high-quality workmanship.
→ Ensure compliance at all times with company health and safety policies, NHBC requirements, building regulations and internal quality standards.
→ Ensure all site personnel, subcontractors and trades have the necessary certification and/or license to carry out their duities.
→ Monitor, schedule and manage material levels and storage on-site.
→ Monitor progress, quality and costs, reporting regularly to senior management detailing progress against planned objectives and action taken to recover lost time.
→ Liaise with the technical, commercial and sales teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
→ Conduct regular site inspections to maintain build quality and resolve any issues promptly.
→ Ensure all site personnel comply with the Construction Health & Safety Regulations 1974.
→ Maintain a high level of site presentation at all times.
→ Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, progress reports and health and safety documentation.
→ Conduct home demonstrations alongside the Sales Executive, ensuring a positive handover experience and resolving any queries before legal completion.
→ You will be primarily based on-site, with some travel to our Newton Aycliffe offices when required.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
→ Valid SMSTS qualification
→ Valid CSCS card at Site Manager level, or equivalent
→ Valid temporary works supervisor qualification
→ Valid scaffold appreciation certificate
→ Valid first aid certificate
→ Experience in a similar role for a new-build housebuilder
→ Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building regulations
→ Full UK driving licence
→ Competent IT skills
Desirable:
→ NEBOSH indstry health and safety standards certificate
→ NVQ Level 6
