The second restaurant available is The Brasserie. Here, you can enjoy local and seasonal dishes with a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape. Open for coffee, light bites, lunch and dinner, The Brasserie is sure to cater for your preferences.

The final restaurant at your disposal is The Clubhouse. This kitchen and bar is the perfect venue for enjoying wholesome British cuisine while appreciating stunning views across the golf course. Stop by for the hugely popular Sunday lunches or enjoy an evening meal.

Other culinary experiences on offer are wine tasting masterclasses and the cocktail bar, where you can enjoy seasonal favourites.

2. Preston Park Museum and Gardens

One of the largest parks located in the North East, Preston Park is just a thirteen minute journey from our homes at Middleton St George. Families are sure to have a fantastic day exploring the park, gardens and galleries.

Park

Butterfly World is undeniably one of the most popular attractions of the park. Discover a world of tropical trees and flowers, exotic waterfall features and vibrant butterflies. Children are sure to love this wonderful experience.

The Adventure Play Area is another favourite with children. Equipped with a playground, a dedicated area for toddlers and plenty of space, children of all ages are able to let their imaginations run free.

Museum

To explore the more historic side of the park, head to the Victorian Street, which imitates how a typical street would have looked in the nineteenth century. Complete with a confectionery store, toy shop and much more, this is sure to be an interesting activity.

Many galleries are on display to educate visitors about the history of the park, and lots of historic collections are available for viewing, which are always popular with any history enthusiasts.

Gardens

An extremely beautiful area of the park is The Walled Garden. Open in spring, summer and autumn, enjoying the features of The Walled Garden on a sunny day is a brilliant idea. Filled with seasonal vegetables, fruit and colourful flowers, it evokes the character of a working Victorian kitchen garden.

The Winter Garden is the perfect place to admire tropical planting, unrivalled views of the park and experience a Victorian-inspired high society garden.

Lastly, the park's Woodland Walk is the perfect nature trail. With a range of different trees, plants and woodland creatures, families can enjoy quality time with each other while strolling outside in the fresh air.
