Meet the Neighbours: Hannah at Middleton Waters
One year after moving into her Homes by Carlton home – The Croft at Middleton Waters – we were delighted to have Hannah (and her gorgeous puppy Olive) show us around.
Hannah talked us through her favourite aspects of her home, how she’s finding living at Middleton Waters in Middleton St George, and how she found the Homes by Carlton buying experience.

Q: What is it like living at Middleton Waters? A: I’m really enjoying it, it’s lovely. It’s quite peaceful and I’ve got family in the village so they’re only a five minute walk away now which is really nice. It’s just a really great development and I love the house.
Q: How are you settling into village life? A: I love walking around the fishing pond and all the fields with the dog. I used to live in the village and then I moved and came back, so it’s nice seeing new additions to the village like Caffe Italissimo and The Oak Tree, and The Davenport has been refurbished since I was last here. We’ve also got a Sainsbury’s now, and I feel like you really don’t have to leave the village for anything you need.
Q: Is Middleton Waters in a good location for walking your puppy, Olive? A: Yes, it’s perfect if you’ve got a dog. There’s loads of dog walks and I’ve met a lot of new people while just walking the dog because so many people on the estate also have puppys. I also use a local dog walker from the village which is really handy. Q: Have you met your neighbours? A: I have. I go to the quiz with one at the cricket club on a Sunday and there’s a nice sense of community.
Q: Why did you choose the 3-bedroom Croft? A: I like that the living room and kitchen/diner are dual aspect and span the full length of the house, both with double doors leading into the garden. The house is so bright and light and spacious, it’s great for having friends come to stay because there’s plenty of room. I’d looked at so many houses before I came to this one and it’s just perfect.
Q: Which is your favourite room in the house? A: The kitchen, definitely. And for me, after living in an open plan flat, it’s great to have a separate kitchen and living room now.
