Sales & Marketing Suite Opens At Woodberry Park In Staindrop

We're excited to have kicked off the new year with the opening of a Sales & Marketing Suite at our new Woodberry Park development in Staindrop.

Over 25% of the homes at this 48-home scheme have already been reserved off-plan, with 14 plots now formally released for sale and available for Full Reservation. We're looking forward to welcoming the first new homeowners to the development as soon as this Summer.

In keeping with our mission to build homes for sustainable living, all properties at Woodberry Park will have solar panels, EV chargers and enhanced insulation to ensure they maximise energy efficiency whilst having minimal carbon footprint on the environment.

Woodberry Park, in Staindrop, located between Barnard Castle and Darlington, is our fourth development to have solar panels included as standard on some or all plots. In the UK, around 1.4 million homes have solar panels – with electricity generated by the Solar Energy market expected to reach 14.43bn kWh this year.1

Simon Walker, Managing Director at Homes by Carlton, said: "Woodberry Park is an exciting new community for people looking to live in a more energy-efficient way. Whilst EV points are now becoming standard on new homes, we believe in maximising a property's sustainability. The introduction of solar panels as a standard feature at Woodberry Park moves the dial in developing homes today for Durham’s long-term sustainable future.”

New-build homes are becoming increasingly more energy-efficient. In the second quarter of 2024, 87% of new homes in England received an A or B Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating – whilst less than 5% of existing older properties achieve the same.2 All homes at Woodberry Park will have an EPC rating of A or B.

Laura Jane Barnes-Martin-Foster, Sales Manager at Homes by Carlton, added: “I'm very excited to have officially opened the Sales & Marketing Suite for Woodberry Park. It's in a much sought-after location and the homes at this development have been thoughtfully designed to compliment the beautiful local area, all of which is reflected in the amount of interest we have already received.

There is an ever-growing interest in purchasing a newly built property. Aside from reduced energy bills and the ease of moving into a freshly decorated home, property owners are very savvy when looking at its long-term return on investment. A new-build with solar panels and an EV charger is at the top of many peoples' wish list. Newly built homes are increasingly more energy-efficient, which helps the environment and reduces household energy costs.”

The Woodberry Park Sales & Marketing Suite is now open by appointment only. To book an appointment, click here or give the Sales Team a call on 0333 041 3377.

2 Calculations are based on the Government's EPC registration data of new and existing properties in the year to September 2024 and Ofgem's October 2024 energy price cap.
