Planning Approved for 29 New Homes at Witton Gilbert

We're delighted to announce we have secured planning consent for 29 new homes on land in Witton Gilbert, County Durham.

The development, which will be known as Beauford Park, will comprise three, four and five-bedroom homes thoughtfully designed to appeal to families of all sizes, with work on-site expected to commence in the coming weeks.

Beauford Park represents an £8 million investment and forms part of a £60 million commitment from Homes by Carlton to deliver high quality homes throughout the North East and create hundreds of jobs over the coming years.

Simon Walker, Managing Director of Homes by Carlton, said: "We're delighted to have secured planning permission for this new development in sought-after Witton Gilbert. As a regional housebuilder, we're looking forward to showcasing our bespoke designs and high specification to prospective buyers in this area, and have already witnessed a huge amount of buyer interest."

"The scheme is just four miles from popular Durham City, a beautiful city with excellent local amenities that has continued to develop in recent years with a number of projects launched to further enhance the city and its surrounding areas. The development of Beauford Park will deliver much-needed housing to the area, allowing for a wealth of attractive options for homemovers."

Having delivered five schemes in the region, Beauford Park forms the next phase of growth for Homes by Carlton as we expand our footprint throughout the North East.

Emma Worth, Development Manager at Homes by Carlton, said: "We are committed to continuing to build upon our reputation of delivering high quality, distinctly designed family homes in sought-after locations. Beauford Park is set to be another example of this commitment."

“As we move through 2023 and beyond, we will deliver our pipeline of 500 new homes, and continue to add to it through strategic land acquisition.”
