Key Appointments See Staff At Homes by Carlton Reunited

We're delighted to announce two new appointments at Homes by Carlton – Dan Holyoak in the role of Head of Construction, and Leigh Walton in the role of Senior Site Manager.

Leigh Walton, an NHBC award-winning Site Manager, is returning to the business more than 20 years after helping launch our very first developments.

Leigh rejoins us as Senior Site Manager, taking the lead on our upcoming Saxon Vale development in Sadberge, County Durham.

“To return to Homes by Carlton now, more than two decades later, feels really special," said Leigh.

"25 years ago, we were a small team with big ambitions. Now the company has grown into one of the region’s most trusted housebuilders, delivering hundreds of homes for families across the North East.

"To become part of that journey again by overseeing what really is a special site in Saxon Vale, fills me with enormous pride.”

Ground was recently broken at Saxon Vale, where we'll deliver 46 stunning detached and semi-detached homes ranging from three to six bedrooms.

Set in a beautiful rural location, Saxon Vale blends thoughtful design with modern living. The site will also create around 30 new jobs and forms part of our broader £100 million pledge to bring high-quality homes to the North East.

Alongside Leigh, we’re also excited to welcome Dan Holyoak to the team as Head of Construction, bringing decades of experience to our growing portfolio of developments across the region.

Dan's decision to join the team marks an exciting reunion – both he and Leigh previously worked with our Co-Founder and Vice Chairman, Craig Peterson, at a major housebuilder in the late 1990s.

“Joining Homes by Carlton was a chance to once again work with some of the most talented, experienced, and determined staff in this industry,” said Dan.

“To work again with Craig and Leigh on so many incredible developments was impossible to turn down, especially for a company like Homes by Carlton, which is thriving.

“These next few years are going to be incredibly exciting and it feels so good to be part of the team."

These two key appointments underline our continued commitment to excellence in everything we do – from the homes we build, to the team behind them.

And with both Leigh and Dan already hitting the ground running in their new roles, Norman Peterson, Co-Founder and Chairman of Homes by Carlton, added: “These are two crucial appointments and both have significant experience and knowledge within this industry, making them perfect fits to grow our company further.

“They really strengthen our already incredible team, and we are thrilled to have them both on board.”
