We recently invited pupils from Witton Gilbert Primary School to our Beauford Park development in Witton Gilbert, where they enjoyed a first-hand look at how the new homes in their community are being built.
Over two action-packed days, the Year 1 and Year 5 pupils put on hi-vis jackets and headed over to the site – which is just 100 yards from their classrooms – to see the work unfold with their own eyes.
Led by our newly appointed Head of Construction, Dan Holyoak, our team were excited to share their knowledge of and passion for the housebuilding industry, offering a brick-by-brick walkthrough of how our award-winning homes are built.

The pupils were taught about the multiple build stages of a house and were able to venture inside The Dorchester to see a plot at 2nd fix – before the finer details that make a house a home have been added.
However, the real highlight for many of the children were the digger and fork-lift truck demonstrations by the site team.
At the end of their visit, the Year 5's were given a special task – to go away and design a new front cover for our new homeowner welcome cards. The designer of the winning cover will receive an exciting prize, and their design will be proudly handed out to our future Beauford Park residents.
